A Private and Cyber-Secure Digital Space for Software Development Innovation in Portugal
The Challenge
Imagine creating Portugal’s next tech unicorn but having all your source code, data, and knowledge exposed on public cloud platforms. This hypothetical situation is the reality for countless startups and SMEs who, in their pursuit of agility and efficiency, inadvertently compromise their most valuable intellectual property.
The Project
The DevSecPaaS Test Bed provides a development, testing, experimentation, and evaluation platform in PaaS (Platform as a Service) mode with several innovative and security features. It is being developed by a consortium of leading IT companies: Expandindustria and others. In partnership with the scientific support of INESC TEC and logistic support by UPTEC, this marks a milestone in national technological infrastructure.
Following the successful application prepared with WellAdvisedCo’s support, the project received funding from the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP) Measure C16-i02: Companies 4.0 Business Digital Transition). This strategic investment of nearly €2 million in a Test Bed aims to develop a private and cyber-secure digital space for Software Development Innovation in Portugal.
WellAdvisedCo’s Role
Our involvement has been comprehensive and multifaceted throughout the project’s lifecycle:

– Preparation of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP) application

– Docker integration for agile development

– Proprietary Knowledge Base (KB)
– Integrated AI tools for LLMs
– Kanban project management system
All this is within a 100% European infrastructure, ensuring complete digital sovereignty.
