FOOD TECH: Guiding the agri-food industry towards the Fourth Industrial Revolution
The agri-food sector is evolving very quickly. Increasing connectivity is propelling the industry into a new industrial era. Companies must urgently prepare to shift to Industry 4.0 or the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
Within the scope of the PFoods_Qualifica project, we help raise awareness and contribute to boosting the Agri-food Industry with international trends and best practices in Industry 4.0 and the digital economy. We have created two valuable Informative Guides to stimulate and guide companies towards the fourth industrial revolution in the sector.
To build a better food system in the coming decades, startups and companies alike must come together to tackle some of the biggest challenges facing the future of food today. We believe in the power of technology, entrepreneurship and collaboration, as disruptive innovation begins with creating win-win partnerships.
PortugalFoods is an association comprising companies, R&D institutes and other entities representing the different subsectors of the Portuguese agri-food sector. PortugalFoods is a “space” where these entities establish win-win relationships to produce and share knowledge in support of innovation and competitiveness. PortugalFoods is the “umbrella” brand promoted by the Agro-Food Competitiveness and Technology Hub. This image must be unique and excellent, promoting Portugal, its products, its brands and its companies with modernity and adequacy in international markets.
As the leader of the Portuguese Agrofood Cluster, it is recognized by the entire sector and by the Portuguese government as the main interlocutor and promoter of Portuguese Agrofood.
