Within the scope of the AVEIRO DIGITAL EXPORT project, we coordinated and operationalized a team of 8 digital economy specialist consultants. We promoted 60 digital training sessions (Digital Labs) on essential topics for the digital transformation of SMEs in the Aveiro region who wanted to export through digital channels.
In collaboration with Deloitte, we contributed to the Connect 4.0 project, developing crucial monitoring indicators for Industry 4.0 adoption. Our work helped establish a framework for Portuguese SMEs to evaluate and advance their digital transformation journey.
Together with our partner, we created a project for a Test Bed in the area of Circular Economy for TheLoop Greentech startup. Through their LoopOS operating system, SMEs can create circular channels for resale, renting, returns, refurbishment, donation, eco-disposal, etc. The project was approved and co-financed by the PRR through the NextGenerationEU fund with 2 M€.
InOlive was a co-promoted R&D project to develop a monitoring solution with an intelligent robotic trap for preventing pests and diseases in olive groves. We supported this project's application for the Portugal 2020 European funds. Also, we studied intelligent technological traps available on the international market to contribute to the greater competitiveness of the InOlive solution.
WellAdvisedCo collaborated with CCDR-N on the NORTE+DIGITAL project, which focused on modernizing public administration in the North region. Based on the University of Minho diagnosis, the project aimed to digitalize processes, reduce costs, improve public services, and strengthen proximity with citizens and companies.
We led and coordinated capacity-building workshops with the Jordan Start accelerator and mentored Jordanian start-ups as part of the EIB-funded Innovation Support Programme for the Southern Neighbourhood (ISP-SN), which also included organizations and start-ups from Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, and Tunisia.
We coordinate and execute project management in the two Digital Economy Association (ACEPI) programs: The ``Norte Digital`` project aimed to promote the adoption of e-commerce by SMEs in northern Portugal. The ``Comércio Digital`` project aimed to mobilize and qualify SMEs to use digital tools to build a better digital presence and exploit opportunities through e-commerce and e-marketplaces.
Without any R&D practice, the company challenged us to support them in developing new projects and services. We set the first collaborative R&D project, EyesOnTraps, ``Smart Learning Traps for Vineyard Health Monitoring``, obtaining financing with European funds. Thus, we created the foundations for internalizing R&D practices and currently have 3 R&D projects with our support.
In the scope of the PFoods_Qualifica project, we help to raise awareness and contribute to invigorating the Food Industry with international trends and best practices in Industry 4.0 and the digital economy. Our Information Guides intend to encourage and guide the fourth industrial revolution in the sector.
Together with IT researchers, we designed the idea and found adequate funding to build an open innovation ecosystem in Intelligent Transport Systems and Services (ITS) in Portugal's Center Region. The result was deploying an ITS platform on the roads and railways, close to Aveiro beach, available for public entities, companies, and individual users.
We supported an innovative research project called INFRAVINI that developed an SDI (Spatial Data Infrastructure) for a consortium formed by four entities (a company, a university, a research center, and a producer association). This INFRAVINI will help Douro wine producers monitor the quality of their wine production in real-time and, therefore, be more resilient to climate change.
We helped conceptualize a geospatially enabled intelligent process management software solution. We advised the consortium formed by Expandindustria SA, INESC TEC and the University of Porto and supported the application process for European funds for R&D, winning first place.

We studied the best economic value of some FhP-developed medical technologies, from a smartphone-based handheld optical device that captures retinal images automatically to a mobile-based framework of risk triage and early diagnosis of skin cancer and other technologies from this research centre. We support and elaborate two projects: Collective Transfer and MDevNet, whose applications have successfully been EU-cofinanced.
By integrating a multidisciplinary team, we provide the knowledge of the innovations that have been successfully achieved in previous R&D projects in a large industrial company, allowing accuracy for big investments that they need for the implementation of cyber-physical systems, advanced sensors, and information systems for communication, processing, and analysis of large volumes of data.
